The Puerto Olímpico is an open port, conceived and designed to outfit Barcelona with nautical installation and services, next to an ample gastronomic selection, to the extent that our emblematic city demands. Far from being only port dealing with sports, the Puerto Olímpico is an area committed and involved with its people, offering an endless amount of cultural, sporting, gastronomic, beneficial, and leisure events, so that, be it the citizens of the Catalan capital or the thousands of tourists that visit the city every day, can enjoy this magnificent environment and its installations near the sea.
Consolidated as an emblematic area of Barcelona with 740 mooring and 85 commercial establishments, the Puerto Olímpico of Barcelona was constructed to celebrate the Olympic Games of Barcelona in 1992.
It is integrated into the body of the Vila Olímpica at the heart of the maritime zone of Barcelona, surrounded by beaches, gardens and significant buildings such as Torre Mapfre or the Hotel Arts. We could qualify it as an “urban port” due to its great ease of access from every point in the city via public transportation such as the metro (Line 4, Cuitadella) or via a selection of buses (lines 36, 45, 59, 71) that travel to and through the Puerto Olímpico
