Puerto Olímpico

Olympic Port

Consolidated as an emblematic area of Barcelona with 740 moorings and 85 commercial establishments, the Puerto Olímpico de Barcelona Marina was built for the celebration of the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992.
It is an open port, conceived and designed to provide Barcelona with extended nautical facilities and services, together with a wide range of gastronomic and leisure activities, at the level required by an Olympic city. Far from being just a marina, Port Olimpic is a centre committed to and alive with society, offering a wide range of activities such as sporting, cultural, charitable, gastronomic and leisure events, so that both locals and the visitors who come to the city every day can enjoy this magnificent environment and facilities in contact with the sea.
It is integrated within the complex of the Olympic Village in the heart of the maritime area of Barcelona, surrounded by beaches, gardens and buildings as significant as the Mapfre Tower or the Hotel Arts, being what could be described as an “urban port” due to its great ease of access from all points, including public transport such as the metro (Line 4, Ciutadella | Vila Olímpica) or the different buses (lines 36,45,59,71) that include the Port Olímpic in their routes.
