The Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre was created by Don Ignacio Barraquer, combining his interest in the field, both in his private practice, as well as in the ophthalmology service at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, and later in the Hospital de la Cruz Roja in Barcelona.

With the aim of offering his knowledge to all those patients without economic resources, Dr. Barraquer set up the social work, financed with his own resources.

The clinic is located at 314 Muntaner Street, 15 minutes from the Bonanova Suite Hotel at 7 Bisbe Sivilla Street.
