COLONIA GÜELL

 

The development of Colonia Güell began in 1890 at the initiative of the businessman Eusebi Güell in his estate Can Soler de la Torre, located in the municipality of Santa Coloma de Cervelló, now the Baix Llobregat.

CASA-MUSEU GAUDÍ

 

Located within Parc Güell, the Casa-Museu was Gaudí’s residence from 1906 to 1925.

PALACIO GÜELL

 

The Palau Güell is one of the first important projects Gaudí received at the beginning of his career. Eusebi Güell wanted Gaudí to build him this peculiar urban palace as an extension of the family house he had on the Ramblas in Barcelona.

CASA CALVET – GAUDÍ

 

Modernist style building designed by Antoni Gaudí built between 1898 and 1900 and located at 48 Caspe Street. It is currently a restaurant.

The architect Salvador Valeri i Pupurull worked on the construction of the Comalat house between 1909 and 1911, clearly influenced by Gaudí’s organic forms.

Casa Terradas, popularly known as Casa de les Punxes – House of the skewers, in Catalan – is a building designed by the modernist architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch.

CASA FELIP – TELM FERNÁNDEZ I JANOT

 

Designed in 1905 by the architect Telmo Fernández Janot and built between 1911 and 1913. The building, in a crowded modernist style, is catalogued as a cultural asset of local interest.

Designed by the modernist architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner, commissioned by the industrialist José Thomas.

The project was commissioned in 1902 by Francesca Morera to reform the old Rocamora House from 1864, which housed the Sociedad de Fomento del Ensanche.

TORRE BELLESGUARD AND VIADUCT

 

Built between 1900 and 1909, the Casa Bellesguard is located in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district, in the same place where Martí l’Humà (King Martin the Elder, last king of the lineage of Barcelona) had a castle built for him, taking up residence in 1410.

MONASTERY OF SANTA MARIA DE PEDRALBES

 

The Museum-Monastery of Pedralbes includes the church and the monastery, its main feature being the spacious, three-storey Gothic cloister, around which the main rooms are laid out: the refectory, the dormitory, the abbey, the chapterhouse, and the day cells, one of which contains the wonderful mural paintings by Ferrer Bassa.
