  • SANT JORDI – SAINT GEORGE                                     April 23rd, 2015

The 23rd of April is not just the World Book Day, it is also the National Saint’s Day of Catalonia. As far as the legend can tell, a dragon arrived as if on a spell, at the doors of Montblanc the fair, and to confront it no one would dare. Days were filled with gloom, instilled in their hearts was doom, until on a white steed Saint George came, so his mighty spear met its deadly flame. Most uncertain end to the plight, the beast could not withstand the fight, mortally wounded and lifeless it lay, hopelessly bleeding on the ground grey. Yet from that dark crimson ominous death, a rose bush appeared in the same breath. Putting both together, the tradition goes that on this day both roses and books are given and received, as a token of appreciation for the loved ones.

    Sant Jordi

    May 8th – 10th, 2015

You know what it’s like… The cars, the smell of fuel, the speed, the split-second changes, the ever decreasing laps to go, the adrenalin highs, the tension and the emotion. In the end, to be so highly strung for a while will pay off. Why? You are after all in the Mediterranean. You know you want to be here… It’s the sun, it’s the spring… It’s Barcelona and everything you can do here before, during and after the Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. You know when the day is over, you can take a rest in our suites at Premium Suite Hotels.
