La Catedral

The Cathedral of Barcelona, also known as the Cathedral or the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia, is a famous example of Catalan Gothic architecture dating from the fourteenth century. While staying in the shadow of the world famous Sagrada Familia the cathedral is an impressive gothic church able to arouse the admiration of many its visitors.

Starting from the fourth century AD a lot of churches were constructed on the place of the present cathedral. In 1058 it was decided to construct Romanesque church and in 1298 the construction of the Gothic church began, which would not be completed until the beginning of the twentieth century.
